Meet Caz

Growing up, Caz faced difficulties with her peers due to her tiny frame- being verbally bullied and told she had an eating disorder.

Caz used these traumatic experiences as motivation to look and feel better about herself, and made the decision that she wanted to work in the fitness industry.  Before Caz had even qualified as a fitness instructor, she was offered her first job at Letchworth Leisure Centre at the age of seventeen as a receptionist in the gym.  It didn’t take long for Caz to work her way out from behind the desk onto the gym floor, watching the trainers to develop her knowledge and to learn how they trained their clients.  During this time, Caz fell more and more in love with the fitness industry and just knew this was the right career path for her.

By the age of eighteen, Caz had discovered free weight training and loved the changes this made to her body- able to build muscle and no longer be labelled ‘the skinny girl’ or ‘the ant’.

At twenty, Caz went to work in a gym called ‘Spirella’, writing member’s programmes and slowly developing her list of contacts during a four year period.

After this time, Caz made the decision to branch away from small independent gyms, and she applied for a job as a fitness instructor at David Lloyd.  Although initially scared, Caz was extremely excited to have been offered the job, and it was here that the journey of ‘Caz PT’ really began…

After settling in well and building a rapport with both staff and members, Caz became a qualified spin instructor which led to her taking a lot of classes.  By the age of twenty six, Caz was a fully qualified personal trainer, and it was then that she made the decision to become self-employed.

All of the experience and knowledge that Caz has gained over the years in many different areas of the fitness industry have allowed her to create a successful and respected brand of her own.

Alongside training her clients, Caz is also Lead Trainer at The Little Gym in Harpenden, whose philosophy is for children to learn and take on new challenges, overcome their fears and express themselves confidently.

Caz simply does not see going to the gym and training people as a job… it is her passion.  Watching her client’s confidence grow, exceeding their own expectations and becoming more comfortable in their own skin is the ultimate satisfaction for Caz.
